Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before using your Shark WANDVAC. Basic safety precautions reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

Parts & Assembly

Your WANDVAC comes ready to use with minimal assembly required.

  1. Main Body: Contains motor, battery, dust cup, and controls.
  2. Floor Nozzle: Attaches to main body for floor cleaning. Ensure it clicks into place.
  3. Crevice Tool: For tight spaces like between cushions or along edges. Attaches to the end of the main body or nozzle.
  4. Charging Dock: Wall-mountable dock for storing and charging the vacuum.

Assembly: Align the floor nozzle with the main body and push until you hear a click. To attach the crevice tool, insert it into the opening at the end of the vacuum or nozzle.

WARNING! Ensure the vacuum is powered OFF before assembly or disassembly.

Charging the Vacuum

For first use, charge the vacuum fully for approximately 3.5 hours.

  1. Using the Dock: Place the vacuum onto the charging dock, ensuring the metal charging contacts align.
  2. Direct Charging: Alternatively, plug the charger directly into the port on the back of the vacuum.
  3. Indicator Light: The battery indicator will illuminate during charging. A solid light indicates full charge.

Battery Life: Provides up to 30 minutes of runtime on a full charge (varies with power mode and usage).

CAUTION! Do not leave the vacuum charging continuously for more than 72 hours. Use only the provided charger.

Controls and Indicators

Power Button: Located on the handle. Press once to turn on in default Eco Mode. Press again to switch to Max Mode for increased suction. Press a third time to turn off.

Battery Indicator Lights: Located near the power button.
- Solid Blue: Battery charge is above 25%.
- Flashing Blue: Battery charge is between 10-25%.
- Solid Red: Battery is charging.
- Flashing Red: Low battery (below 10%) or charging error.

Release Buttons:
- Dust Cup Release: Press to detach the dust cup for emptying.
- Nozzle Release: Press to detach the floor nozzle.

Using Your WANDVAC

  1. Power On: Press the Power Button. Start in Eco Mode for balanced cleaning and battery life.
  2. Floors: Glide the floor nozzle back and forth. LED lights illuminate debris.
  3. Above-Floor Cleaning: Detach the floor nozzle to use the main body as a handheld vacuum for furniture, stairs, or with the crevice tool.
  4. Crevice Tool: Attach for cleaning along edges, in corners, between car seats, or in other tight spaces.
  5. Power Mode: Press the Power Button while running to switch to Max Mode for concentrated suction on heavy dirt. This reduces run time.
  6. Automatic Shut-off: The vacuum will turn off if the battery is depleted or if a blockage causes the motor to overheat.

Tip: Make slow, overlapping passes for best results on carpets. Empty the dust cup when it reaches the MAX fill line.

Emptying the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup after each use or when it reaches the MAX line to maintain suction.

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum from the charger.
  2. Hold the vacuum over a trash can.
  3. Press the Dust Cup Release button and pull the cup away from the main body.
  4. Open the bottom lid of the dust cup to release debris. Tap gently if needed.
  5. Close the lid securely and reattach the dust cup to the main body until it clicks.

WARNING! Do not use the vacuum if the dust cup is not properly attached.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures peak performance.

Washable Filters:
1. Remove the dust cup.
2. Take out the Fine Dust Filter and the Felt Filter from the top of the dust cup assembly.
3. Rinse filters under lukewarm water until water runs clear. Do not use soap.
4. Air dry filters COMPLETELY for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
Frequency: Clean filters every month under normal use, or more often if you vacuum fine dust.

Cleaning the Dust Cup & Nozzle: Wipe with a dry cloth. Use a dry brush to remove hair or fibers from the brush roll in the floor nozzle. Do not wash the main body, motor, or battery components.

CAUTION! NEVER operate the vacuum without both filters installed and completely dry.
