Assembly & Parts Identification

Unpack all parts from the box. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.

  1. Insert the wand into the main vacuum body until it clicks securely.
  2. Attach the motorized floor nozzle to the end of the wand.
  3. Insert the battery into the slot on the vacuum body until it locks in place.
  4. For above-floor cleaning, detach the wand by pressing the wand release button and attach desired tool directly to the hose.

WARNING! Ensure the vacuum is turned off and the battery is removed during assembly to prevent accidental startup.

First-Time Setup & Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery.

  1. Plug the charger into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
  2. Connect the charger to the battery (either installed in the vacuum or removed).
  3. Charge until the battery indicator shows a solid green light (approx. 3.5 hours).
  4. Install the fully charged battery into the vacuum if removed.

CAUTION! Use only the Shark-approved charger provided. Do not charge the battery near heat sources or flammable materials.

Controls and Operation

Power Button: Press once to turn on. Press again to turn off. The vacuum will default to standard suction mode.

Battery Indicator: Located near the power button. Green lights indicate charge level. Flashing red indicates low battery.

Wand Release: Press the button on the back of the vacuum body to detach the wand for handheld use.

Brushroll On/Off: A button on the motorized floor nozzle (if equipped) allows you to turn the brushroll off for delicate hard floor cleaning.

Floor Mode: The motorized nozzle automatically adjusts suction and brushroll speed between carpets and hard floors.

Using Attachments for Above-Floor Cleaning

Detach the wand and floor nozzle to use the vacuum as a handheld unit.

  1. Press the wand release button and pull the wand away from the main body.
  2. Choose an attachment (Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush, Upholstery Tool).
  3. Insert the attachment directly into the socket on the front of the vacuum body.
  4. Turn on the vacuum using the power button.

Tip: For best results on upholstery, use the upholstery tool. For tight spaces, use the crevice tool.

Emptying the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup after each use or when the full line is reached.

  1. Turn off the vacuum and remove it from the charging dock.
  2. Hold the vacuum over a trash can.
  3. Press the dust cup release button and pull the dust cup away from the body.
  4. Press the bottom empty-release latch. The door will open, and debris will fall out.
  5. Close the latch firmly. Reinstall the dust cup until it clicks.

WARNING! Do not use the vacuum if the dust cup is not properly installed. Empty away from your face to avoid dust inhalation.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning the Filter: Remove and rinse the foam and felt filter with cold water every month. Let it air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.

Cleaning the Brushroll: Regularly remove hair and fibers wrapped around the brushroll. Use scissors to cut and remove debris. Ensure brushroll spins freely.

Cleaning the Dust Cup: Can be rinsed with water. Dry completely before reinstalling.

Cleaning Sensors & Charging Contacts: Wipe with a dry cloth.

CAUTION! Do not use the vacuum without the filter installed. Never immerse the main body, battery, or charger in water.
