Specifications

Controls and Settings

All primary controls are located on the handle for easy access.

Handle Controls: POWER, BRUSHROLL ON/OFF, CLEANING MODE SELECTOR (Carpet/Hard Floor/Area Rug).

Indicator Lights: Power On (Blue), UV Light Active (Green), Brushroll Engaged (Amber), Full Dust Cup (Red).

Settings: Use the mode selector to match your floor type. For deep carpet cleaning, select "Carpet." For hard surfaces like wood or tile, select "Hard Floor." For low-pile rugs, use "Area Rug." The BRUSHROLL button should be ON for carpets and OFF for hard floors to prevent scattering debris.

Using Attachments

For above-floor cleaning, detach the pod by pressing the handle release button.

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
  2. Press the handle release button and lift the pod away from the floor nozzle.
  3. Attach the hose to the pod's port.
  4. Choose an attachment: Crevice Tool for tight spaces, Dusting Brush for shelves/electronics, Upholstery Tool for furniture.
  5. Plug in the vacuum, turn it on, and begin cleaning.

Tip: The UV light remains active during above-floor cleaning to sanitize surfaces.

Cleaning Modes & UV Sanitizing

The UV850 uses UV-C light technology to sanitize surfaces as you vacuum.

  1. Ensure the UV light window on the floor nozzle is clean and unobstructed.
  2. Power on the vacuum. The UV light activates automatically with the motor.
  3. Move the vacuum at a normal walking pace over the area to be cleaned and sanitized.
  4. For best sanitizing results, make two passes over the same area.
  5. The UV light is only effective on exposed surfaces; it cannot sanitize through deep pile or debris.

WARNING! The UV-C light can be harmful to eyes and skin. Never operate the vacuum with the floor nozzle elevated or pointed towards people or pets. Always keep the cleaning head flat on the floor during use.

Maintenance & Care

Regular maintenance ensures peak performance and longevity.

  1. Empty Dust Cup: Press the release button and empty after each use or when the indicator light turns red.
  2. Clean Filters: Rinse the HEPA filter and pre-motor filter with cold water every 3 months. Air dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling.
  3. Clear Brushroll: Turn off and unplug. Use scissors to cut away hair and fibers wrapped around the brushroll. Check monthly.
  4. Check for Blockages: Inspect the hose, wand, and floor nozzle if suction power decreases.
  5. Wipe Exterior: Use a dry cloth to clean the body. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Always unplug the vacuum before performing any maintenance. Never operate without all filters installed and completely dry.
