Controls and Settings

Main controls are located on the handle and body of the vacuum.

Handle Controls: Power Switch, Brushroll On/Off Switch, Lift-Away Release Button.

Settings: Upright Mode (for floors), Lift-Away Mode (detached canister for stairs/furniture). Brushroll Setting (On for carpets, Off for hard floors/delicate rugs). Suction Power (single speed or multiple if applicable).

Using Cleaning Attachments

Attachments enhance cleaning versatility for different surfaces.

  1. For Lift-Away mode: Detach the canister by pressing the release button. Attach the desired tool (crevice tool, dusting brush, upholstery tool) to the end of the wand.
  2. Crevice Tool: Ideal for tight spaces, corners, and along edges.
  3. Dusting Brush: Use for delicate surfaces, blinds, lampshades, and shelves.
  4. Upholstery Tool: Designed for cleaning sofas, chairs, mattresses, and curtains.
  5. To switch tools: Simply pull one tool off the wand and press another on until it clicks.

Tip: Ensure the vacuum is turned off before changing attachments.

Cleaning Modes & Techniques

Optimize cleaning based on the surface.

  1. Upright Floor Cleaning: Keep the vacuum in the upright position. Use forward and backward passes, overlapping slightly. The swivel steering helps navigate around furniture legs.
  2. Lift-Away Above-Floor Cleaning: Detach the canister. Carry it by the handle and use the hose and wand with attachments to clean stairs, under furniture, ceilings, and other above-floor areas.
  3. Carpet Cleaning: Ensure the brushroll is ON. Make slow, deliberate passes to allow the brushroll to agitate and lift dirt.
  4. Hard Floor Cleaning: Turn the brushroll OFF to prevent scattering debris. Use the suction-only mode for effective pick-up.
  5. Emptying the Dust Cup: Press the dust cup release button, remove the cup, and empty contents into a trash bin. Reinstall until it clicks securely.

WARNING! Do not use the vacuum to pick up sharp objects, nails, or glass which could damage the internal components.

Maintenance & Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Empty Dust Cup Frequently: Empty after each use or when the full indicator is visible.
  2. Clean Filters Regularly: Remove the HEPA and foam filters every 3 months (or as needed). Tap gently to remove dust. Rinse the foam filter with cold water and let it air dry for 24 hours completely before reinstalling. Do not wash the HEPA filter.
  3. Check and Clean the Brushroll: Periodically remove the brushroll (refer to manual for removal steps) to cut away and remove wrapped hair, strings, or fibers.
  4. Inspect Hose and Wand for Clogs: If suction decreases, disconnect the hose and wand and check for blockages.
  5. Store Properly: Wrap the power cord around the cord wraps. Store the vacuum in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Always unplug the vacuum from the electrical outlet before performing any maintenance. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
