First-Time Use

Using Cleaning Modes & Tools

Select the appropriate mode and tool for the cleaning task.

  1. For carpets: Use PowerFins mode. Move slowly to allow brushroll to agitate dirt.
  2. For hard floors: Use Hard Floor mode. The soft roller captures fine dust.
  3. For mixed floors: Use DuoClean mode for automatic adjustment.
  4. Above-floor cleaning: Detach Lift-Away pod, attach desired tool to hose end.
  5. Pet hair: Use the Pet Multi-Tool on upholstery and stairs.
  6. Dusting: Use the dusting brush for shelves and blinds.

Tip: Regularly check and clear the brushroll of any debris, even with Anti-Hair Wrap technology.

Emptying & Cleaning the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup when the capacity indicator reaches the MAX line.

  1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
  2. Press the dust cup release button and lift the cup away.
  3. Hold over a bin, press the bottom release latch to open the door.
  4. Tap gently to remove dust and debris.
  5. Close the door and reattach the dust cup until it clicks.
  6. Wash the dust cup (if needed) with water and let it dry completely before reuse.

WARNING! Do not use the vacuum without the dust cup properly installed. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.

Brushroll Maintenance

To maintain suction and prevent damage, inspect and clean the brushroll monthly.

  1. Unplug the vacuum.
  2. Turn the floor head over and press the brushroll access latches.
  3. Remove the cover and lift out the brushroll.
  4. Use scissors to cut away any wrapped hair or threads.
  5. Clear any debris from the brushroll chamber.
  6. Reinsert the brushroll and replace the cover until it clicks.

CAUTION! Never use the vacuum with a obstructed or damaged brushroll.

Care & Storage

Unplug before cleaning or maintenance. Wipe exterior with a dry cloth. Store in a cool, dry place.

Filter Care: Wash the HEPA and pre-motor filters every 3 months under cold water. Let them air dry for 24 hours completely before reinstalling.
