Controls and Settings

Main controls located on the handle and floor nozzle.

Handle: POWER button, Brushroll On/Off switch (for hard floors/area rugs).

Floor Nozzle: Suction Control Slider (Carpet/Hard Floor setting), Headlight, Wand Release Pedal.

Settings: Use Carpet setting for deep cleaning; Hard Floor setting reduces suction to prevent scattering debris. Turn brushroll OFF for delicate rugs or hard floor cleaning with attachments.

Using Attachments

For cleaning upholstery, stairs, ceilings, and tight spaces.

  1. Detach the Wand: Step on the wand release pedal and pull the wand up.
  2. Choose Attachment: Connect Crevice Tool, Upholstery Tool, or Dusting Brush directly to the wand or hose.
  3. Clean: Use the handle controls to turn power on/off and adjust settings as needed.
  4. Reattach: To return to floor cleaning, insert the wand back into the floor nozzle until it clicks.

Tip: For high reach, attach the dusting brush to the end of the fully extended wand.

Lift-Away Mode

Allows you to detach the pod for portable cleaning.

  1. Press the Lift-Away release button (usually on the back of the pod).
  2. Lift the pod away from the floor nozzle. The hose remains connected.
  3. Carry the pod to clean stairs, furniture, or other above-floor areas using the hose and attachments.
  4. To reattach, align the pod with the floor nozzle and press down until it locks.

WARNING! Ensure the pod is securely locked before resuming upright vacuuming to prevent separation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Empty Dust Cup: Empty after each use or when full. Press release button and empty into trash.
  2. Clean Brushroll: Regularly remove hair and debris wrapped around the brushroll. Access by removing the bottom plate (check manual for model-specific instructions).
  3. Check for Blockages: If suction is reduced, check hose, wand, and nozzle for clogs.
  4. Inspect Filters: Clean or replace filters as recommended.

CAUTION! Unplug vacuum before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

Filter Care

The HEPA filter and pre-motor filter require regular care.

  1. Pre-Motor Foam Filter: Rinse with cold water every month. Let air dry for 24 hours completely before reinstalling.
  2. HEPA Filter: Tap gently to remove loose dust. Do not wash. Replace every 12-18 months under normal use.
  3. Reinstall: Ensure all filters are completely dry and properly seated before using the vacuum.

WARNING! Never operate the vacuum without all filters in place, as this can damage the motor.
